Grateful…

April | FOURTEEN

The word of last week was; grateful. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to be grateful.

Gratitude can change your life. Being grateful doesn’t cost anything and it can bring you so much peace in an instant. I practice gratitude daily by saying thank you to people who help me. I say thank you to the food I get to eat and the fresh water I have the privilege to drink. It keeps me in balance to say thank you, it corrects my mood, my perspective, and my attitude. It prepares me for life’s hard times but also it keeps me in check when things are flowing and life is good.

Have you ever been sick and had those days where you can’t move your body the way you want or eat the things you want? I had one of those moments last Saturday when I had a 24-hour stomach-flue that gave me a real detox. I couldn’t even keep the water in my body, everything just ran right through my intestines. While I was laying there in my misery I thought about how weak I am when my body is not well. When we have an illness it is easy to remember how important it is to have an appreciation for our health and bodies. To be grateful for the body’s normal state is something we take for granted when we are healthy. We shouldn’t wait for things to go really bad before we express our gratitude. Be grateful for your body now!

The same principle of gratitude works on your attitude towards money as well. When you feel like you don’t have enough money, you will experience lack in life through that belief. You might get a speeding ticket, unexpected fees will show up, things might break in your house and need restoration. The bills accumulate when you have a lack mentality and life gives you negative experiences if you think negative thoughts.

However, when you change your thinking into an abundant mindset, life will give you more of that abundance. Be grateful for the things you have been able to buy through all your life and appreciate all the gifts you have been given. Having gratitude for the money you do have right now will make more money start to appear in your life. Focus your energy on the things you have and give thanks to the money for showing up for you when you need it to and I promise, it will come.

If you are grateful and I mean really truly grateful with every bone in your body, things in your life will start to flow. The money will find you, opportunities will show up and you will feel ease towards life. Gratitude changes the game of life. To be grateful every day is easy, there is so much to give thanks for. Life is always showing us its abundance and greatness, we just have to keep our eyes and hearts open to all the wonderful things.

I practice gratitude by writing what I am thankful for in my journal almost every day. It makes me feel grounded and peaceful when I actually identify and recognize what I do have. Sometimes I do a meditation where I close my eyes, put my hands on my heart, breathe slowly and count all the things I am grateful for in my life. It is magical and emotional but releases so much joy into my body and I really recommend you try it out.
