    Grateful…

    April | FOURTEEN

The word of last week was; grateful. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to be grateful.

Gratitude can change your life. Being grateful doesn’t cost anything and it can bring you so much peace in an instant. I practice gratitude daily by saying thank you to people who help me. I say thank you to the food I get to eat and the fresh water I have the privilege to drink. It keeps me in balance to say thank you, it corrects my mood, my perspective, and my attitude. It prepares me for life’s hard times but also it keeps me in check when things are flowing and life is good.

Have you ever been sick and had those days where you can’t move your body the way you want or eat the things you want? I had one of those moments last Saturday when I had a 24-hour stomach-flue that gave me a real detox. I couldn’t even keep the water in my body, everything just ran right through my intestines. While I was laying there in my misery I thought about how weak I am when my body is not well. When we have an illness it is easy to remember how important it is to have an appreciation for our health and bodies. To be grateful for the body’s normal state is something we take for granted when we are healthy. We shouldn’t wait for things to go really bad before we express our gratitude. Be grateful for your body now!

The same principle of gratitude works on your attitude towards money as well. When you feel like you don’t have enough money, you will experience lack in life through that belief. You might get a speeding ticket, unexpected fees will show up, things might break in your house and need restoration. The bills accumulate when you have a lack mentality and life gives you negative experiences if you think negative thoughts.

However, when you change your thinking into an abundant mindset, life will give you more of that abundance. Be grateful for the things you have been able to buy through all your life and appreciate all the gifts you have been given. Having gratitude for the money you do have right now will make more money start to appear in your life. Focus your energy on the things you have and give thanks to the money for showing up for you when you need it to and I promise, it will come.

If you are grateful and I mean really truly grateful with every bone in your body, things in your life will start to flow. The money will find you, opportunities will show up and you will feel ease towards life. Gratitude changes the game of life. To be grateful every day is easy, there is so much to give thanks for. Life is always showing us its abundance and greatness, we just have to keep our eyes and hearts open to all the wonderful things.

I practice gratitude by writing what I am thankful for in my journal almost every day. It makes me feel grounded and peaceful when I actually identify and recognize what I do have. Sometimes I do a meditation where I close my eyes, put my hands on my heart, breathe slowly and count all the things I am grateful for in my life. It is magical and emotional but releases so much joy into my body and I really recommend you try it out.

Do you have a gratitude practice? I would love to hear what your thoughts are about gratitude. Please, leave a comment in the section below if you are feeling grateful.

    Thanks,

    Positive…

    March | THIRTEEN

The word of last week was; positive. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to be positive.

Spring is making me feel all sorts of things, I feel alive, I feel optimistic and I feel positive. I have this fresh spirit that is making me believe in myself and again which is saying a lot of since the last year I kind of gave up on everything I wanted. I realized that I have new dreams now and I can’t make them come true when I am holding on to the old ones. I need a new way of thinking. I also need to let go of the negative self-talk that has been trying to kill my vibe since I was a teenager.

So today I let go. The truth is I have been letting go for a while but emotionally and spiritually I felt ready to let go today. I let go of all those old thoughts that I have been holding on for a decade. My wishes and beliefs about what I thought was good and what I wanted back then are not serving me in the present. The truth is I have new aspirations now. I have bigger goals and I can’t go into the future with the old way of being. I am not the girl I used to be. I am a woman now and I need to start treating myself like one so that life can match up to my needs. I need to show up as my highest self so that I can serve this world better.

I feel positive about this sweet ending because I know there is a fresh new beginning that is waiting for me to come alive. What do you feel positive about right now? Spread some good vibes down below and let me know what you look forward to manifesting into your life.

    Brave…

    March | TWELVE

The word of last week was; brave. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to be brave.

I was looking through my old journals and I found this quote saved in one of my diaries from 2012.

“Forgiveness is a virtue of the brave.”
    ~ Indira Gandhi

It got me thinking about how ridiculous our minds work. Oftentimes when we are hurt, the ego gets mad and creates a story that is not true. It can make us feel very angry and hostile towards other people who we feel have wronged us. We think that forgiving people will make us vulnerable for more suffering and that we will lose power in the relationship if we let go of the hurt.

Most people have armor around their hearts and carry on so much resentment towards people who have hurt them in the past because they don’t want to forgive. Holding on to so much anger, jealousy and judgment is heavy and creates so much distance between people and it is so sad when relationships are ruined because of the unwillingness to forgive.

The reason most people hold on to forgiveness for so long is because they think it is weak to let go. To forgive somebody does not mean that you are weak. It means you are brave because you are willing to move forward even when you don’t know what will happen. Forgiveness is a beautiful magical thing because it sets us free from the chains of the past.

Bravery is forgiving people even though they haven’t changed. Bravery is asking for forgiveness and saying you are sorry first. Bravery is believing in the things we can not see. Believing that if we take the first step, we will see the road appearing in front of us. Bravery is reaching out your hands and helping the people around you. Being confident and reaching for your dreams is brave. Taking risks is brave. Being yourself is brave. Telling your truth is brave. Being vulnerable is brave.

Being human every day in this world is brave. To wake up every morning and go out there, meeting people, challenging yourself and forgiving yourself and others is brave. You don’t have to jump out of a building to be brave, the truth is you can be brave in every moment of every day. Being alive is a scary thing and you are doing it right now. Go out there and be vulnerable, trusting and forgiving, because that my friend is true bravery.

    Patience…

    March |ELEVEN

Last weeks theme was; patience. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to be patient.

When life is moving fast all the time, we seem to expect things to come in to fruition at the same speed it takes for us to push a button and send an email on our smartphones. Life has its own timing and can’t be rushed whether you want it to or not. This is one of the hardest lessons to learn when we are trying to change our lives.

The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.

I have been really good at staying patient when things are not working out for me the way I want it to. I know that everything happens for a reason but sometimes I can’t find the faith to believe. When things take too long to manifest in my life, I get impatient and start to doubt myself. This is often what keeps me from reaching my goals and makes me stop the process.

    Last week I had one of those moments where I felt like nothing is changing and the things I want are never going to come into my life. It took some tears and meditation to remember that I have to be patient and let go of the tension I am holding around my dreams. If I am always uptight, wondering, and thinking about when it is going to come, time will move slow. When we obsess about the goals it ruins the natural process of the transformation from thought to reality. When we let go, things come back to us. Let go of the thought and you will get back the desire of whatever it is you are trying to manifest. There is a line from the book, A Course in Miracles that sums up this lesson in a perfect sentence, it goes;

Those who are certain of the outcome can afford to wait, and wait without anxiety.

To wait for something means that we know that the dreams will come true and it doesn’t matter when they come. When we are certain that they will show up there is no need for doubting. To learn how to wait without anxiety is the key when it comes to making dreams come true. It is a hard lesson to master but with practice, it gets easier. Next time you are struggling with something, remind yourself of this and try to adopt that thinking into your life. Practice letting go and stay cool no matter what happens.

    Joy…

    March |TEN

Last weeks theme was; joy. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose joy!

I have had the privilege to really slow down these last couple of weeks from work and I have used the time to connect to my body instead. I have been taking walks in the rain, going to the gym, exploring my yoga practice and doing some breathwork. I feel the most alive when my body is in motion and it gives me so much joy to move. There are periods in my life where I don’t exercise and it always makes me feel funky without knowing why. Life is always changing but for now, I really want to keep the momentum going and continue with my moving practice.

Walking is my meditation and it makes me feel really centered and peaceful. Keeping in touch with nature helps me to make the right decisions at the right time. Nature has a way to speak if we are willing to listen. When I am in walking I get small inspirations that make my heart glow and right now, that makes me feel pure joy.

Walking in the woods this afternoon I felt so alive and inspired. It made me feel really good to be out in nature and I had this thought; If these woods could talk, what would they say?

We can learn a lot about life from just observing how nature works. Nature keeps on growing even though mankind keeps polluting it. The trees just keep on standing there, tall and proud and giving away new air. New oxygen is produced constantly even though toxic air is let out. There is so much serenity and clarity to be found in just observing how everything grows.

The lesson I took from my walk was that if we learn how to take in all the negativity in the world, maybe we can transform it and turn it into something good. Pain, suffering, and heartbreak don’t have to be all bad if we allow ourselves to feel the negative and then transform it into something positive. Make lemonade out of the lemons life has given you, it might bring you joy instead.

Being alive feels so much better when we are moving, breathing and changing. Instead of holding your emotions in and being stagnant see if you can shift your perspective through movement and allow yourself to get new feelings. It will give joy, I promise.

    Mercury Retrograde Survival Strategies

Everybody on social media is talking about Mercury retrograde. Read this to learn about my Mercury Retrograde Survival Strategies. What are the dos and don’ts? What can you expect from this time? Let’s find out!

    Mercury Retrograde Survival Strategies

Mercury retrograde is the astrological explanation for everything that is going bad in your life right now. Mercury is the planet that rules all communication and when it is in retrograde three times a year for three weeks, shit (can) hit the fan. The truth is the planet is not really moving backward, it just appears that way from the earth as an optical illusion.

    The ruler of communication

Since the planet is the ruler of communication, it can affect travel, technology, and contracts. During this time, flights and trains are often delayed and create a lot of stress for people who commute. Computers and smartphones have temporary malfunctions and emails or other documents can get lost in cyberspace during this time.

Doublecheck who you send your emails to so you don’t send private emails to the wrong person. More accidents happen during the retrograde due to miscommunication, in both written and oral expression. Make sure you are calm when you speak so that you don’t say anything you’ll have to regret later. Also, you should back up your computer and save your files beforehand. A piece of advice is to not install new software during this time.

    Mercury retrograde Survival Strategies

It also can affect contracts so if you are buying a new house or signing an agreement see if you can reschedule until Mercury is orbiting in the “right” direction again. There can be invisible terms hidden in your contract that can cost you a lot of money in the future or get you in trouble later. Don’t sign a lease for a new car or make big purchases either. If you have to sign papers just make sure you read it thoroughly and carefully before the ink dries.

This is also not the best time to start a new job because you’ll likely get a different position than the one you thought you’d get. Same goes with starting a new relationship during these weeks because they probably won’t last for long. Remember this is just the worst case scenario and warnings of what might happen. If you can reschedule and move things around I would advise you to do that but obviously I understand some plans can not be rearranged to align with the stars.

    How to survive Mercury Retrograde

The way to get through this period is to be aware of things not functioning properly and doublecheck your work before you send emails or texts. You can live your normal life, just make sure to take deep breathes when things are moving slowly.

This is actually a good time to really slow down in life and look inwards. Take the time to journal, read and get to know yourself. Spend time in solitude and look for solutions instead of obsessing about what isn’t working. Communicate less and try to listen more to what life is teaching you during this period.

During this time old friends, exes, and blasts from the past might resurface. People can pop up from the blue and it can be a fun time to just explore the relationships or get some closure. Either way, this is the ultimate time to redo everything and hopefully get a better outcome than before even if it is with only a realization that you have outgrown people and relationships.

Mercury retrograde can be very frustrating but they are often helpful as well because we get to reassess, revisit, and redesign our plans. We get to rethink everything and slow down in our decisionmaking which gives us new ideas. Use the time wisely and remember that this too shall pass.

I hope you found this article of Mercury Retrograde Survival Strategies to be helpful. The period of retrospection is beautiful and I wish you a smooth time filled with a lot of insight when it comes. Please leave a comment in the section below and tell me what your best strategy is for surviving the retrograde.

    Faith…

    March |NINE

Time is moving so fast, February is over and it is officially March now. I love this time of year when the light is coming back and the days are becoming longer. There is so much life in the air and it gives me good vibes to know that spring is coming. Last weeks theme was; faith. So, if you are craving some daily affirmations, follow along and choose to have faith.

Have you ever had this feeling where life feels like a joke? Like there is somebody up (or down) there laughing at us when we make our plans and dream of the future. I have had plenty of those situations where I feel like I can’t make a single decision because of fear that it is going to backfire on me. Oftentimes, when I am so close to giving up on my goals it sends me a lifeline to get back on track again. It makes me smile because whoever is in charge of the universe, she (or he) sure has a lot of humor.

I am not sure what to think about whether there is such a thing called luck or karma, but I know I believe in divine timing. Things fall in place when we least expect them to and when we need to believe in the magic of this world. I don’t believe in holding on to hope because the word hope makes you think that there is an option to fail. Hold on to faith instead and to what you know you came into this world to do.

I think what happens when we give up or stop trusting the universe it wants to give us a reason to keep believing. That is why we get the things we want when we let go of them on a metaphysical level. Often it makes our faith stronger and builds strength in our character.

The magic recipe for how to manifest the life you want is to have faith that the things you want are coming and then surrender your plans. Let it unfold to you and you will get what is truly yours. Let go of the tension you are holding around it so that it can expand but be relentless in the pursuit of your dreams. You are here for a reason and that reason is not to watch Netflix and then die. What is your faith telling you to do right now?
